Custom Project Description

Our customer who specialises in subsea project solutions, was looking for a portable HP pump for deep water robotic water blasting.

Some of the design scope key points were, seawater compatible, off-shore lift compliant, over-speed protection, spark arrestor, remote pressure control, and most importantly a small footprint due to the space premium on off-shore platforms.

THE CUSTOM SOLUTION

We responded quickly with our A325 HP pump set installed in custom custom-designed and built Offshore lift DNV specification 10-foot container.

The custom DNV containers were designed with a strengthened floor to accommodate the point loads of the pump set and safety-tied machine mounts used to cope with the high G forces generated in rough seas.

The container design utilized double-opening doors for easy access to the engine and pump, plus hatches to the radiator and hose connections.

Six container pump sets were designed, manufactured, tested, and commissioned over a tight timeline with minimal fuss.

Work Scope

Oceaneering needed a Ultra High-Pressure pump that could be easily moved, with very low emissions.  That’s why we designed and engineered it, so it would fit into a 10ft container.

  • Pressure pump, charge pump, filter housings, and plumbing setup for seawater.
  • 15, 20 or 40KPsi pressure conversion sets.
  • DNV spec offshore lift 10’ container
  • SS exhaust with spark arrestor
  • Engine over-speed auto strangler
  • Desktop remote control system
  • Fully sealed for sea spray protection when not in use.
  • Double side doors (4) for easy access to engine and pump
  • The pump can be removed or refitted into the container with minimal time and effort.
  • Reinforced container floor and roof eliminate container flex.
  • DNV spec coatings to ensure long life in demanding offshore environments.
